    Hello.
I use engine POnScripter and I have one problem.
Functions ‘mp3vol’ and ‘bgmvol’ do not work if to use them with OGG files.
I cannot use onscripter-en because to me it is necessary unicode.
Excuse, if I write not on a theme, but I know, that you also the developer POnScripter.

      Hi pin201,

There are a number of features and commands in ONScripter-EN that I still need to port over to PONScripter; the mp3vol/bgmvol fixes are one of them. I’ll see what I can do about getting them added before long.

But it’s a good sign if that’s the only problem you’ve found so far ^^
What game are you working on, by the way?

The POnScripter port of “Kana… Okaeri!” I make it.

        • dsp2003 says:

pin201′s port of “Kana… Okaeri!” is based on my “Saya no Uta” port logics, so i had the same problem with mp3vol/bgmvol commands.

By the way, Mion, i’ve finally checked the newest build, and it seems you’ve fixed windowerase function crashing! ^_^ Thank you very much! ^o^ I’ll be waiting for the stable releases from the bottom of my heart!

After upgrading to Snow Leopard, none of the images show up in Tsukihime, aside from the main menu. All the dialogue appears over a black background, and opening a picture in the gallery just gives a black screen.

    • mion says:

      Hi Owen,

Can you try reinstalling the game and see if that fixes the problem? Not that I really know anything about it, but the OS upgrade could have messed with loading the image archives.

Edit: before you try a reinstall, I have to ask: are you using the most recent build of onscripter-en, from this site’s Releases? If not, download the Mac build and try that.

Let us know if that helps or not.

    Hello,

I’ve uploaded a screenshot and hope that helps.
    I used a Tsukihime-Installation, which I installed
in conjunction with the English translation by
mirrormoon, so I do not think that the problem
lies therein. Still, it might be a problem of data
    being written/displayed differently since the
    Windows-Installation I made using Bootcamp
    worked out just fine.

Thank you for your fast repy,

      Sorry for the double posting….did not see that reply button..-__-;

Aha! That screenshot told me just what I needed to know.

Here’s the fix: take the file called “ONScripter” and rename it to “ONScripter-en”.

      Why the problem, you ask?

Recent onscripter-en builds support both English and Japanese mode for compatibility. When a game is in Japanese mode, the default menus will use Japanese characters, including for the date/time of save files.

Now, onscripter-en determines the current mode (English/Japanese) either through the relatively new “language” script command, or (if that command isn’t used) by the command-line option “–english”, or (if that isn’t used either) by seeing if the ONScripter executable ends in “en”.

The Tsukihime translation is older and doesn’t use “language”, and your executable didn’t indicate that you want “English”, so it assumed you wanted to use Japanese – which the English translation’s font does not support, hence all the little boxes.

Perhaps I should add a check for whether the font supports Japanese text to decide if English mode should be used… it couldn’t hurt.

      Anyway, hope that helps ^^

Hmm…tried it, but it did not seem to work. Well I’ll try again and if it does still not work I’ll post again.

Shoot, you’re right, it doesn’t work on Mac. Sorry about that, I’m working on a new release that should take care of the issue. Check the Releases within the next day or two.

        • mion says:

Made a new Release just now; you might need to change the application name to ONScripter-EN, but otherwise it should work. Let me know if you still have trouble ^^

    Hello there!

First things first: Thanks for all your great work.

Now for the problem: I tried installing Tsukihime on my Mac like it was described. One thing that bugs (heh) me is that the save files
do not display the time they were created and so I find it quite hard to find the last save (“Wait…it was third one from the top, wasn’t it?!).

Since I’m not a programming genius I would be grateful to know, how I can configure Onscripter-En (latest build) to display the timestamp.

    Thanks in advance,

    Verrovin.

      Hi Verrovin,

Tsukihime uses the default (O)NScripter save/load menu, which does show the date and time. Are you sure you’re playing the original Tsukihime game?

Try uploading a screenshot of the save menu so I can see what’s going on.
